Chocolate Fridge Cake

A little bit about this recipe…..

Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 0 mins (you don’t really ‘cook’ it)! | Serves: 10 | Cost: £ 3

I have been making this fridge cake for years. It is so quick to throw together. If you like chocolate biscuits you will love these.

Ingredients

  • 250g biscuit crumbs (I used a mix of broken biscuits I had)
  • 150g dark chocolate
  • 150g milk chocolate
  • 100g butter
  • 150g golden syrup

Method

  1. Place both types of chocolate into a heat proof bowl
  2. Add butter and golden syrup
  3. Put a little water in a pan and place your bowl of chocolate mix over pan. Heat over low heat to gently melt
  4. Once completely melted mix in biscuit
  5. Line a 20cm square tin with greaseproof paper.
  6. Evenly spread mixture in tin and pop in the fridge to chill until set
  7. Once set you can cut into whatever size pieces you prefer

Blags, Tips & Tricks

  • You can add dried fruit and nuts, but I generally don’t as if the gremmos want to take some to school they can’t contains nuts.
