The £2 Lidl Veg Boxes You Might Not Know About

Hello everyone….Paps here. In our house there’s an unspoken rule about the weekly shop. If the list is boring – I do the shopping alone!

However, I recently discovered something that almost makes that job worthwhile: Lidl’s £2 fruit and veg boxes.

These boxes aren’t widely advertised and are usually placed on the packing shelves behind the tills. Inside you’ll find a mix of fruit and vegetables that are close to their sell-by date or have fallen out of their original packaging, but are still perfectly good to eat.

Every box is different, but for just £2 you can often get a surprisingly generous selection of produce that would normally cost much more.

It’s a great way to save money, reduce food waste, and maybe inspire a soup, stir-fry or smoothie depending on what you find inside.

So next time you’re in Lidl, it’s worth taking a quick look behind the tills. You might just spot one of these bargain boxes – and trust me, once people notice them, they don’t hang around for long.

All the best, Paps.
