Well, things are starting to get rather exciting here at Jam Jam’s Kitchen!
When we first floated the idea of delivering homemade meals locally, we genuinely had no idea whether anyone would be interested. The response has been incredible and we’re so grateful for all the encouragement, suggestions and support we’ve received.
A special thank you to the 20 families who have already registered their interest in the Jam Jam Tasting Club. Every registration helps us understand what people would like to see and gives us confidence that we’re heading in the right direction.
We’ve been busy working behind the scenes and thought you’d like a little update on our progress:
✅ We’ve officially registered with Wealden District Council as a catering business.
✅ Both Jam Jam and Paps have completed our Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene qualifications.
✅ We’ve chosen our food packaging, which is oven-safe, microwave-safe and freezer-friendly (because let’s be honest, most things in this house end up in a freezer eventually!).
✅ We’re putting together our first menus.
✅ We’re building an online ordering system to make everything as simple as possible.
There’s still a little way to go, but we’re getting much closer to launching and we couldn’t be more excited.
If you’ve been thinking about registering but haven’t quite got around to it yet, we’d love you to join us. There’s absolutely no obligation and no commitment to buy anything. At this stage we’re simply gathering information, sharing updates and making sure we’re creating something that local people will genuinely find useful.
The more people who register, the better we can tailor menus, portion sizes and meal options to suit the community.
